Turbosmart Electronic Blow Off Valve Controller

When running high boost or a very large turbo in your gas or diesel engine, sometimes a standard manifold actuated blow off may not be enough to control compressor surge. Compressor surge is a condition that is caused when boost can not be vented from the system fast enough at throttle closure, causing negative pressure (or backspin) on the turbo resulting in sluggish throttle response or even damage and catastrophic failure. The Turbosmart electronic blow off valve controller can be finely tuned to vent your Turbosmart race port blow off valve to vent precisely if, when, and how long your valve needs to vent for maximum performance and response on your high boost car or truck. The Turbosmart electronic blow off valve controller comes with a universal race port blow off valve in your choice of black or blue finish and includes all hardware for a universal installation. Additional fittings or flanges that are not included may be needed for some cars.

Functions:

  • Valve Sensitivity: How sensitive the controller is to negative changes in throttle movement.
  • Vent Duration: How long the solenoid stays open to bleed out the air from the BOV (i.e how long the BOV is open for) The solenoid will reactivate when the BOV controller reads positive throttle movement to close the BOV and pressurize the intake system.
  • Valve Enable: Keeps the solenoid energized. This can be used as a boost limiting function as the BOV will bleed air out lowering the boost levels entering the engine.
  • Controller Disable: Disables the BOV controller and returns the intake system to its factory setting.
  • WARNING: Misuse of this product can cause extreme engine damage and should only be installed and tuned by a professional mechanic
