The Banks Power SmartLock Transmision Brake - 55270 is a required part for installation of a Banks Power Brake on your 2003-2004 5.9L Dodge Cummins 235, 250, or 305 hp rated engine equipped with a automatic transmission. The manual transmission does not require the use of this product.
Banks electronic braking device automatically activates when conditions call for braking. SmartLock locks the torque converter and simultaneously raises transmission-line pressure, to smoothly reduce vehicle speed.
