The Type RS Limited Slip Differential activation pressure is applied to the same direction of the initial torque with the use of a coil spring. The initial torque is set lower on the Type RS compared to the Type MZ, which allows a smoother and quicker initial clutch plate engagement from a non operational to fully functional state even despite the low initial torque rating that is set. The virtue of a low initial torque setting is it enables a smooth turn even when the LSD is not activated. Because of the coil spring design, it provides an overall gentle and stable operation of the differential. The RS springs sit inside the pressure rings which helps engage the rear lock. The number of springs can be added or subtracted for personal customization. In comparison to the Type MZ, the Type RS's initial torque comes on more gently. The RS has lower friction and in turn transfers power to the ground more efficiently and means less power loss. The low pressure applied on the clutch plates makes for improved durability and lower chatter. On top of this, the lower pressure also allows the driver to change the differential oil less frequently. Because the plates do not use a cone clutch, they do not stick and have increased longevity.

1.5-Way LSD: Activates under acceleration with less under-steer under deceleration than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who want to reduce under-steer.

2-Way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.
